  The team led by Professor Yang Liu from the School of Precision Instrument and Opto-Electronics Engineering at Tianjin University, consists of 3 national/provincial-level high-level talents, 3 professors, 10 full-time engineers, and 50 master's and doctoral students. This team focuses on the research and application of ultrasound imaging technology and imaging systems, and has received multiple honors including the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, the first prize of Ministry of Education Scientific and Technological Progress Award, the highest award from Chinese Instrumentation and Instrument Association Scientific and Technological Award, and the Tianjin Patent Gold Award.

  In the field of industrial non-destructive testing, the team has developed a new fifth-generation AI + ultrasound non-destructive testing technology, leading internationally in industrial intelligent sensing equipment. This includes multi-channel ultrasonic guided wave detection systems, ultrasonic phased arrays, industrial equipment health management cloud platform, and intelligent digital energy management platform. These products utilize ultrasonic guided waves for online monitoring of industrial equipment conditions. Through artificial intelligence algorithms, they provide timely warnings and diagnoses, widely applicable in large steel plate defect detection, long oil pipeline inspection, polyethylene (PE) pipe inspection, lightning protection line inspections for wind turbines, corrosion, bolt inspections, submarine cable monitoring, and equipment health management. This technology effectively addresses issues such as frequent equipment and pipeline defects, high maintenance costs, untimely fault warnings, and difficulty in detecting hidden defects. It enhances detection accuracy, widens applicability, and reduces testing costs. Major clients include PetroChina, State Grid Corporation of China, China Huaneng Group, and China General Nuclear Power Corporation.

  Additionally, in the field of medical ultrasonography, the team has independently developed high-resolution medical ultrasound imaging technology. They have created a set of high-resolution ultrasound smart medical devices with diagnostic data intelligent interpretation and decision-making functions. These devices enable continuous monitoring of central arterial pressure in the human body, real-time imaging of deep blood flow, and high-quality abdominal organ ultrasound imaging for medical diagnostic assistance. The imaging effect of the ultrasound cap has reached sub-millimeter levels in cranial phantom models, comparable to or better than MRI and CT scans.

Technology of ultrasonic guided wave ray tomography/coherent diffractive imaging can realize microscope measurement at a wide field.



New Energy and Resource Management System

  

  The system not only meets the grid's network-related control requirements on the generation side, but also can comprehensively increase the total power generation by 1%-3% through high-precision power control and optimal distribution strategy. It can also be used in micro grid system, balance the absorption, reduce the waste light, reasonable and efficient use of clean energy, to achieve energy saving 10%-20%.


 

 

Intelligent Monitoring, Warning and Diagnosis System for Wind Turbine

  

  The key components of wind turbines equipped with high-performance mechanical and electrical, ultrasonic, photoelectric sensor, and the data collection, combined with historical data to extract the fault feature, using big data such as the neural network algorithm, fan state monitoring, video monitoring system, fire fighting, overspeed warning, fan IP phone system, extend the functionality, etc. At the same time, multi-parameter information is integrated to realize the monitoring, warning and diagnosis of mechanical, electrical and video features, strengthen unit safety, and realize preventive operation and maintenance and intelligent wind field.
