Professor and PhD Supervisor at the School of Electrical Automation and Information Engineering, Tianjin University, Recipient of the Tianjin 131 Innovative Talent
The team led by Professor Deng Bin from the School of Electrical Automation and Information Engineering at Tianjin University currently consists of 1 national/provincial-level high-level talent, 2 professors, 4 full-time engineers, and 10 master's and doctoral students. This team focuses on product research and innovation in the field of machine vision and motion control, and has won several honors, including the Second Prize of National Natural Science Award, Third Prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award, and Second Prize of Hebei Science and Technology Award.
By combining machine vision and servo control technology, the team has successfully developed an advanced machine vision motion servo system. This system is characterized by high precision, high speed, and high reliability, addressing issues such as the traditional machine vision identification accuracy being affected by vibration, dust, and motion interference. It significantly improves the servo accuracy of automatic assembly robots. The system can be used in various applications such as product packaging quality inspection, container quality inspection, filling inspection, sealing inspection, etc., replacing manual work for long hours of repetitive tasks. It enables fast and accurate operation, enhances the overall efficiency of production lines, substantially improves product quality and reliability, and reduces production and labor costs.
In addition, the team has developed an energy data analysis controller for industrial energy consumption analysis and optimization, unmanned production lines, smart homes, and community security, with "Artificial Intelligence + Internet of Things" as its core. This product utilizes edge-side data computation, real-time monitoring, intelligent control, and optimization scheduling to address the pain points of high energy consumption industries and large commercial buildings in energy saving and carbon reduction. It offers services such as low-carbon operations, energy-saving diagnostics, adaptive operation and maintenance, building data analysis, and applications, promoting the integration of green low-carbon and digital transformation with zero renovation, low cost, and short-term investment.
Currently, the team has established a low-carbon emissions and low-energy consumption technology service provider focusing on AIoT cloud-edge collaborative control. Their collaborative clients include Lenovo Rongke Information Center, Southern Power Grid, Aerospace First Institute, and the 18th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation. They have formed a partnership demonstration project with a large commercial building in Haidian District, Beijing, covering 250,000 square meters. By deploying energy-saving strategies at the edge, they have achieved an average annual energy consumption reduction of 20%, resulting in total savings of over 12 million RMB in operation, construction, and labor costs.
