The Global Smart Carbon Innovation Center, led by the Institute, collaborates with renowned universities, research institutions, and companies worldwide, including the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Sustainable Energy Center, Shanghai Electric, the University of New South Wales in Australia, Aston University in the UK, the University of Manitoba in Canada, and MINVIRO in the UK.
The center has attracted renowned experts from both home and abroad, including Professor Philippe Gourbesville, former President of Ecole Centrale de Nice in France, Dr. Wang Peng, Researcher at the Institute of Urban Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Xu Yuchun from Aston University in the UK, Professor Peng Qingjin from the University of Manitoba in Canada, Dr. Robert Pell, Founder and CEO of the sustainable development consulting firm MINVIRO in the UK, and Professor Zhang Jian from Shantou University. Together, they are driving innovation and development in the low-carbon and sustainable fields.
Currently, the center has entered into a trilateral cooperation with Dr. Robert Pell from the UK and Researcher Wang Peng to establish Shaoxing Mingwei Ecological Technology Co., Ltd., a low-carbon consulting and assessment company in Shaoxing. It focuses on green low-carbon assessment, consulting, design, and manufacturing, including the development of green product digital identity cards and carbon management throughout the product life cycle, to support enterprises in green transformation and high-quality sustainable development.
Low-Carbon Exchange Activities:
On March 18, 2023, the Institute was invited to attend the 26th Industrial Design Academic Annual Conference and deliver a keynote speech on "Adaptive Design Methods for Green Low-Carbon Products."
On May 29, 2023, the Institute was invited to participate in the 2023 World Green Design Forum and deliver a keynote speech on dual carbon initiatives.
