The platform was established in 2023, leveraging high-level platforms such as the Shaoxing Yuecheng Medical Device Industry Innovation Service Complex and the Digital Health Joint Innovation Center of Shaoxing. The platform has currently attracted experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs in the biomedical field, including Professor Sun Tao's team from the School of Mechanical Engineering at Tianjin University, Professor Shi Chaoyang's team, Professor Liu Yang's team from the School of Precision Instruments and Optoelectronics Engineering, Associate Professor Zhang Zhiqiang from the University of Leeds, Associate Professor Zhang Ke Tao from Queen Mary University of London, Yu Bo, chairman of Zhejiang Pushikang Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Chen Liyang, CEO of Wutong Infection Control Technology Co., Ltd., Zhang Nan's team from University College Dublin in Ireland, and Xiong Quan's team from TOMED SRL INC in Italy. They are engaged in research and development in areas such as orthopedic surgical robots, microsurgical robots, wearable sensors and robots, reconfigurable parallel manipulators, soft robots, and artificial intelligence diagnostic systems for digital information. The platform facilitates the gradual implementation of related achievements through resource docking platforms such as the medical device complex.In December 2023, the institute held a technology achievement transformation roadshow (click to learn more). Several biomedical entrepreneurial projects, including those from Sun Tao's team, Liu Yang's team were showcased. They discussed the feasibility of project implementation with various investors, effectively promoting the platform's achievement transformation efforts.
